Altnets is one of the UK’s leading providers of premium fibre optic products. Having recently gone through a complete rebrand with a new logo, colour palette and graphics, their old website no longer reflected the new brand.
They approached us to create a highly interactive website that conveyed their new “follow the light” messaging through scroll-driven animations, custom graphics and bold design.

The Scope
What They Wanted
Altnets had recently undergone a full rebrand which included a new logo, colour palette, graphics and interactive animations. Along with this they had developed a new message “follow the light”. The team wanted us to take this new branding and messaging and create a highly interactive website that stood out from market competitors.
Discovery & Branding
During the discovery phase we researched their competitors to identify differentiation opportunities. We gathered all new branding elements and explored how to convey their “follow the light” messaging through design. We also explored innovative ways to display content with scroll-driven animations to boost user engagement.

Design
Design was where this site came to life. We developed the idea of a “squiggle” that would move through the site on scroll, creating an engaging feature for users. We used a solid dark background for most of the site and continued the squiggle across different sections to make the entire experience feel like one continuous flow.
Design Evolution
Development
In development we used CSS, JS and Three.js to bring the animated features to life. A lot of the interactivity had been considered in the design phase, so development was about putting these ideas into action — videos, scroll interactivity, mouse hover effects and more.
