When they approached CreativeWeb, The Personal Number Plate Company was in it’s early stages of life – they required a logo & branding – the business name had yet to be finalised – and of course, a bespoke website to market their license plate service.

Logo & Branding
A SIMPLE, CLEAR MESSAGE
Our logo designer was tasked with creating something that made us of ‘Reggie’, the company mascot, while also being clear & easy to immediately understand the business.
We worked together with the Personal Number Plate Company to realise the final logo, which was inspired by a number plate itself – with the graphic of Reggie on the left, and a line separating the text on the right.

CUSTOM NUMBER PLATE DATABASE
In order for the website to function, we needed to be able to query the extremely large database of over 60 million available number plates without causing a long wait time for the user. We created AJAX calls and optimised PHP / mySQL queries to achieve this, as well as optimising the database to be as lightweight & accessible as possible.
We also set up a scheduler to update the database when new plates were added, or existing plates were sold – to ensure that the information on the website is always up to date.
Custom Checkout
WOOCOMMERCE INTEGRATION
In order for the user to actually purchase a plate, we set up WooCommerce on the site and integrated a custom checkout page, which sent option data through to the payment system. Users can also preview how their plate will look on a number of different vehicles, thanks to some advanced PHP image processing & intelligent logic.
The payment structure was also integrated with custom fields available to the site admin, allowing them to easily manage their price points and apply any increase or discount where appropriate.
The Results
The Personal Number Plate Company are now up & running and are delighted with their website, which offers a much simpler, easier to use alternative to the majority of well-known license plate services.
The site has been fully tested across a wide range of devices to ensure no outstanding bugs or compatibility issues, and has also been SEO & performance optimised to minimise loading times & maximise visibility.
